Céline and Olivier welcome you to their Comenius multilateral partnership blog that will host all the information and forms pertaining to our Comenius project. We are both looking forward to meeting you all soon. Meanwhile, you will find here the link to our image data bank that will be the bulk of our project related to our collective, modern, graphic imagery inspired by the works of European artists or writers. Our aim is to bring our students to become aware of the rich graphic heritage that surrounds them in their everyday life and to help them trace it back to the original works.

Bienvenidos a nuestro blog del Comenius multilateral en el que encontraréis todas las informaciones y documentos relativos a nuestro proyecto. Estamos impacientes de encontraros. Mientras tanto, encontraréis el lazo del banco de imagenes, meollo de nuestro trabajo centrado en las figuras europeas (obras, personajes, escritores, pintores etc.) presentes en las imagenes actuales. Nuestro objetivo es llevar a los alumnos a conocer nuestro patrimonio cultural comun a partir de su entorno cotidiano, remontando a las obras originales fuentes de inspiracion.

To illustrate this, consider these two examples / A modo de ilustracion, dos ejemplos aqui abajo.

The first document is a painting by an unknown artist (circa 1594) depicting Gabrielle D'Estrée. The painting clearly inspired a famous brand's fashion campaign. / Este primer documento es un retrato de Gabrielle d’Estrées, cuadro de un pintor anónimo que inpiró una lujosa marca de moda.

The second document is Dali's work on Mae West, which in turn inspired a commercial for ice cream bars. / El segundo documento es una obra de Dalí que inspiró  una marca de helados.

Our students, gathered in international groups, will explore our data bank and share their appreciation of its content. They will reflect on the graphic techniques used and the general meaning or interpretations of those images and finalize their own adaptations of those original works by designing a campaign for the Comenius agency. / Los alumnos repartidos en pequeños grupos internacionales explorarán el banco de imágenes y compartirán sus impresiones. Reflexionarán sobre las técnicas utilizadas para recuperar una obra y crearán a su vez su propia representación en una campaña de publicidad para promover la ciudadanía europea.
